Billam-Smith retained his WBO Jr. Heavyweight world title against Riakporhe
Chris Billam-Smith retained his World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior heavyweight title as well as avenging the only defeat of his career with a unanimous decision over Richard Riakporhe at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park.
The two first met in 2019, when Riakporhe won a split decision, and since then both have improved professionally, but five years of Billam-Smith’s dominance were instrumental in his victory in the rematch.
After 12 rounds, the English fighter had a score of 116-111 and two more of 115-112.
